I'm old enough to remember when it was both illegal and inappropriate that the President of the United States would forgive $10,000 of federal student debt for borrowers and $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients.

That would have hindered the income of the hard-working Americans who own student loan servicing companies. These entrepreneurs following the American Dream paid $7,000 for a $30,000 loan and thus EARNED the $50,000 borrowers will pay over 20 years.

How unpresidential and overreaching!
